About the Designer,
Rocky Borchardt, a lifetime artist who proudly grew up in a family of United States Marines, is renowned for her profoundly patriotic designs. From working tirelessly in support of veteran organizations, to designing American Flags to honor our fallen heroes, her art expresses a genuine love of Liberty. We are honored to share Rocky's gorgeous creation, Freedom Eagle, as a Brat Tats exclusive.
Proceeds from this design benefit Flags for Fort Snelling. A non-profit organization Rocky co-founded when realizing flags were no longer being placed at each headstone at one of the largest national cemeteries. For the first time in over 35 years Memorial Day 2018 the tradition of placing flags at every headstone was restored. 200,000 flags for 200,000 heroes.
In addition to creating artwork, Rocky invented a sustainable flag to withstand the elements and ensure this tradition continues long after we are gone.
